I live in the Arizona desert, and I have an apartment with a North facing balcony. It gets early morning sun and then just horrible heat the rest of the day. The only plants I have indoors are low-light plants that like water as much as I do. I've tried having basil, mint, rosemary, and lavender on my porch. Lavender is supposed to do really well in hot, dry environments, but I've killed 2 plants as soon as I brought them home. Even my aloe is barely making it.
What can I do or grow? I think when people think "hot" weather, they don't really understand 115°F heat for several months, but that's what I'm dealing with.
I would say you should probably grow them inside in a certain room that you think would be safe for them.
The rest of my apartment gets very low light, and the only thing I can grow is spider plants and philodendron.
Most of the more readily available information on plants related to witchcraft seems to be tailored towards people living in temperate climates, such as on the east coast or in Europe. If I've learned anything about witchcraft it's that sometimes you gotta learn to work with what you have. Maybe try researching the local plants and/ or buying dried herbs? Your post made me curious so I went and found this posts which I thought was interesting. There's definitely information on desert plants out there somewhere. Good luck!

Thanks! That was a great link. Those images could all be from my backyard. Still, it seems I won't be able to grow any herbs or anything. I guess i just have to move!
