As I continue to learn about the significance of the more commonly used herbs, flowers, fruits (and their skins) etc, I noticed that the list is limited. In fact it's dwarfed by the extensive plant life that exists. This is an observation made at a cursory glance at what witches use regularly and the plants that I see on a regular basis on a casual walk through the forest.
The discussion is mainly this: can any plant be used? (Other than closed practice components ie: white sage) And if so, would anyone like to join me in the research and understanding of not-so-popular plants?
This isn't to say I don't plan to use the plants we know are tried and true; this is an attempt to use plants that aren't well known, easier to acquire, and may be just as potent as their counterpart.
Witchcraft has almost always been about using what is available to you! At some point down the line someone did exactly this with things like lavender, and started what lavender corresponds with. It's a good idea 😊
