As a practitioner with two adorable fur-children... oh man. It's so hard to make sure the stuff I use is either in places they can't get to it (difficult with cats...) or safe to use - i.e. it won't hurt them if it gets eaten or sniffed while I'm not watching.
With the whole "don't diffuse fragrance oils around animals!" psa that went around a while back, too (right before the cats started living with me) I sadly had to stop using my incense oils with my salt lamp diffuser (tho recently I found some info on that specifically, that it might be ok to use them in small amounts while the cats are in another room.)
I have noticed some of my herbs are also quite attractive to the kitties, haha - I think they have similar properties to catnip. It's amusing, but again makes it hard to keep the cats out of my herb bag.
The reason I made this post, though, is because one of the cats decided to start chewing on one of my containers! It's a resin (?) lidded cauldron with a dragon perched on the lid and I've had it for years but my cat just decided to start gnawing on the dragon's head. Now there's little teeth scratches in the paint.
Anyone else have this sort of problem?
