A couple of hours ago, I picked up my 10-year-old niece from after-school care (our first taste of wintery weather so schools closed early) while running some errands with my folks. Talking about the weather on the way home, she said that she was going to put a spoon under her pillow and a white or blue crayon in the freezer before going to bed tonight to make it snow more & keep schools closed. I laughed, "My niece is doing magic?!?" and Mom piped up, "What's wrong with that?!" This after Niecy-poo had already rejected a snow spell I made up at her request back in early December because it "sounded weird," LOL. (The funny thing is that I'm officially still very much in the broom closet but mine is a family of wonderful weirdness & open minds.)
Oh, and I just got a commercial (in a game on my iPhone, doggone it) for a new Disney series premiering this fall called "Owl House" that's apparently about a young boy apprenticed to a "powerful witch" to learn magic...!
I am pretty open about my practices and workings. I have been raising my daughter with it slowly and subtlety. Her favorite things to do is enchant and bless things. After her dad and I got married she(age 5) took both of our hands and did a blessing ceremony for us as a family. It was the cutes and loving thing ever!
Oh also there is this show on prime called just add magic and it’s about kitchen witchcraft. Still hollywood Magic but it’s pretty cool. My daughter really liked it. I think it was her first show she really got into into that had a running story line.
@NewMoonMetal Aww, that's so nice
@Corvin Thanks 🥰
