I am the High Hermit. Frankly, this is my first time joining an online community of any kind. I thought a good place to start would be to make a bit of an introduction, just to get the ball rolling and begin to feel more comfortable communicating here.
I am very new to the craft and I keep my practice fairly secretive at the moment. I have started off with learning tarot and have also begun the practice of cleansing. I am slowly gathering my tools and taking baby steps into my own spirituality.
There is so much I want to learn about the craft and all the different aspects of it, but the vast expanse of knowledge and information available has me a little overwhelmed. Questions like Where do I start? What do I need to know? and even just where I fit in amongst all of this keep troubling me. In joining this coven I hope to gain wisdom step by step in a safe space and have a place to ask all my questions and gain insight too.
Thank you for reading my message and I would love to hear back from you. Sending you all warm and happy vibes, Blessed be.
Hermit.
Hello Hermit! First of all, welcome!
I think it's great you have decided to take those first steps to get you going on your path. I think we can all relate how how overwhelming starting out as a solo witch can be. As you said, the amount of information, resources and terms can be a bit much to process.
I would suggest you not to try and take it all in at once. You already picked cleansing and tarot, so maybe go deeper into those fields for now. There lots of different types of cleansing you can try, so do some research and try them out! And tarot a whole entire world of its own so maybe keep looking into that.
I know for a fact that as you focus on those two fields you will read about related things that may catch your attention, so then you can slowly begin to expand your knowledge in other areas.
As far as this forum goes, there's a lot of really good information here, and if you can't find a post on a specific question you have, go ahead and start a post of your own! There's also lots of people with great knowledge here who are very nice and always willing to help.
So, as I always say, have fun while exploring your path! Try not to get frustrated, relax and enjoy your time!
Love and light from high up in the Andres mountains!
