Anyone have any special little animal spirits in their life they'd like to share? Comment below with a picture of them and if you'd like to share a bit about the relationship you have ^u^
This is me and my lovely little soul child Leia, she literally appeared in my life from out of nowhere. We have a solid partnership and seem to always understand whats on the others mind. She follows me everywhere (literally take her to work as well so she is always at my side). Leia has also saved me on multiple occasions. I suffer with nighttime anxiety on a daily basis, and when I wake up in tears she is there in my arms. She is part of me, I have even been told that we have the same eyes by many people

I like to think that familiars are more of a spiritual thing rather than a physical thing, some just choose to take a physical form. That being said my little Pretty Girl is a great feminine, calm energy to my masculine spastic one
So this is my Toby. initially my sister was getting a puppy from her friend, mom went with her and ended up bringing home two puppies. Mom said that the runt (this guy) was her dog not mine.... yada yada. Anyways, I ended up naming him. I am the one who took care of him. Protected him. Loved him. Gave him attention. So needless to say, he wouldn’t listen to or answer to anyone else. my sister‘s dog always beat on him until the day he passed. Toby was very lonely, sad and misbehaved when I left home for long periods of time. I would talk to him, cry with him, cuddle and play with him. And he follows me EVERYWHERE. Its a bit annoying at times. He only seems to love on my husband and my baby but only mildly tolerates anyone else.
his whole name is Tobias count Dracula, because he makes a funny face and looks like a little vampire in a tux.
I love him like he is my son. I speak to him as such. He’s my baby. (10+ years so like 40 in dog years) but my baby.

I actually have 4 cats but the one I consider my familiar the most is my Kittles. He will always come to my side as I do my workings. His other hobbies are eating and laying on his back legs spread out =p
Ethel. Not sure if she’s my familiar just let. We’re feeling that out now. She is showing much more interest in my workings as of the past few months which is a challenge sometimes. 😂
If if anyone can give some advice on screaming cats and meditation ill love you forever. I’ve tried food, treats, playinf with her before hand, she’s just ALWAYS jumping all over my face when I finally feel myself letting go. 😤 Lol. She’s a little shit like that.
My buddy, Cat Morgan. He's 12yrs old, a rescue, and has been with me for every major change and step I've taken these last 10yrs. He's gotten me through some tough times, supporting me when I needed it and encouraging me to do better. Best of all, he's been a great...fur-brother? with my 3 little witchlings, always there for them and so gentle, staying with the one who needs him the most at night. I also feel like he's been guiding me towards the path I'm on; every time I'm doing anything witchy, he's right there. He follows me on walks, too, which confuses the neighbors. He's my cute little MorgyPoo and I love him!
Cat Morgan watches my work as I study my new Tarot deck.
My cat Hicke is 4 years old now and has been with me since he was a kitten. He's really not that social until I either pull out my tarot or oracle deck or am about to do something else craft related. He tends to slep all day and be wrecking havock all night instead and loves to just bite boxes. Not eat them but just press his teeth through them for some weird reason.
I don't consider my pet to be my familiar, however she does get involved in my spell work. Her name is Clementine and I absolutely adore her so much. She loves her rose quartz perch and she has some spirit quartz in her enclosure, she likes to web-up and sit by. I like to read while shes out on her perch. :)
I just watched the video on familiars, and think something that happened to me years ago might fit into this description. Not an animal.
First it started with dreams, I dreamed of this being, almost like it was getting to know me. After that it felt like I was followed by it, like a shadow just outside my field of vision. However, it never felt benevolent. It didn't felt like a guardian, or a bad thing. It felt like a friend, that walked with me, and protected me, like I had a few times it felt like it told me 'don't go there' (and a few times I found out that was a good thing, like how I once almost walked into a bear in the woods).
It felt like a friend, and I never felt alone.
Then one day, it told me a few times already he wanted to go his own way, and I felt ready to let it go. Immediately I felt the presence go, actually felt alone in times, something I never felt in all those years, even without friends. It also helped me with my health, it really went down again after it left.
I never really felt I could call it a demon, or a ghost or a guardian, but I think familiar fits it best.
I'm really thankful for him for being so long with me, but I'd like to see or talk with it again :D
I can't say for certain just yet if my cat, Ace, is my familiar, but I believe he just might be; every time I sit down or lie down to meditate and clear my head, he jumps up in my lap or onto my chest and curls up, purring like an engine.

My girl Sierra. Watches over me while I do spellwork.
