Hi, I'm new to witchcraft, and part of what draws me to it is how it's about working with and caring for the natural world. However, I've noticed that a lot of spells require containers to be buried or otherwise placed into nature (ex. the "hot foot" spell in the book Besom, Stang and Sword where a bottle has to be thrown into a source of running water), and this concerns me because it's a form of littering, even if it's for a purpose.
I'm making this post so that you all can share ideas about how to practice witchcraft in an eco-friendly way. Feel free to write any thoughts you have on the subject. I hope this starts some helpful conversations.
