I'm someone who has been practicing awhile but doesn't have much knowledge beyond basic. Something I've wanted to do a circle type of thing in my local park (which mostly grass area) or woods (yes is safe) but i get worried about social type stuff. A lot of comes from grouping up in the bible belt. Anyway i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on working through that or something of the like. I've always practiced in my room do to lack of yard space and think it would be fun to do it outside. :)

Carry yourself with pride, but also make sure you are safe. Find a semi-isolated spot. If some folks happen upon you and ask what you're up to, you can say, "I'm practicing a religious devotional." and leave it at that. Be prepared to answer any questions. If they don't leave you alone, politely but firmly tell them that you need to be alone for this. Good luck, and may the blessings of Olympus fall gently on thy head.
One of the first meditations you should learn is to harness the power within you...then you will see your path clearly ....No one has the right to tell you how or what to worship-- (so don't give in to them!) eventually you will have the self confidence and empowerment not to care what anyone else thinks because it's not relevant to the greater good you are achieving through self actualization...for meditation I recommend Liber Null by Peter Caroll...meditate on what you want to achieve and be clear about your intentions and the answers will come....Hope this helps...In Light and Love Blessed be
