Hi all! I'm a new witch starting out in the hotbox that is Arizona. I really want to grow my own herbs and have a nice little garden but this heat kills things so quickly. (and if not the heat outside than my cats on the inside) The struggle is real, haha. I'm hoping to meet many likeminded people here and to learn so much from what looks to be an amazing community! Any other people that live in a really hot climate? I'd love to take a walk and find things in nature to use for starting my craft but between the heat killing my want to go outside and anything out there for too long it seems like a struggle. Maybe I'll just have to wait till the colder months? Anyway I'd love to hear from you all!

Hey! I'm an Arizona witch, too! I just started doing research on wiccan and witchcraft about two weeks ago. I totally understand where you're coming from with the heat! Especially, during the summer. I feel like there should be a desert witch's guide to plants because of the diversity from colder climates herbs and wildflowers.
Arizona witches! I was starting to feed I was the only one... For outdoor work definitely wait till cooler months... Though for growing plants maybe cloth covers would help keep the brutal sun at bay.
I would say we could try and collaborate for such a book but I honestly have a black thumb when it comes to keeping any plant alive >.< Though there are some YouTube channels about farming in the desert that might help even if they don't have witchy intentions.
Random thought I wanted to share... One good thing about the intense Arizona sun is it works great for clearing and/or charging, just make sure it isn't something that can be sun bleached!
I lived in Maine for a number of years a d never really felt like the sun was quite right for that sort of thing but now that I'm back home in Arizona my intuition is screaming at how good it can be for that!
