Hey guys, i'm working on a types of spells entry in my grimoire. It's hard to find any specifics on types of spells. Anyway you guys could help me out?
I'm not really sure what you mean by 'types of spells', but I'll try to help you the best I can. Did you mean things like:
Knot magick (you can look into the Witch's Ladder— something I have recently been researching)
Divination (which there are many sub-categories of, such as scrying, tarot/cartomancy, bibliomancy and much more)
Using herbs and potions and even tea (try researching kitchen and green witchcraft, as well as different herbs)
Fae work (this is something I have been obsessed with for years, learning to communicate with the fae...)
Talking to spirits (a little like with the fae, but this is very different at the same time, try looking into religious things and spirit guides)
Or maybe do you just mean types of spells as in:
Protection spells
Love
Happiness
The list really goes on...
I don't know if this was helpful, but hopefully it was! :)

I don't really know how to describe what i mean haha...stuff like curses, hexes, l've, prosperity....maybe I should just wait and think on it for a while and collect my thoughts. I do appreciate your comment though. Thank you for trying...It is actually very useful...maybe i'll do a types of magick/practices page
The way I organized my grimoire is I have a section of "how to"s for specific types of spells
Example: Jar spells, candle spells, knot magick spells, mirror spells etc.
And then information that breaks down the different components of the spells so that I have a guide to make my own magick based on specific workings in my life instead of using someone else's spells (not that there is anything wrong with that! That's just what I prefer and constructing spells is fun for me)
Then I also have a section of the different "genres" of magick.
Example: financial, love, divination, astral, happiness, hexes, etc.
Olivia actually has a grimoire page uploaded with different types of spells and explaining what they are! I think this may be closer to what you are looking for :) here's a link :
