Would anyone like to share pictures of their money jars or pouches? I love how diverse they are depending on your intentions, what you find valuable, and what's on hand! Explanations are optional!
For my money bowl I just followed along with Olivia's video as best I could. I didn’t have any cinnamon sticks so I just made a bed of ground cinnamon that everything else is resting on, and my bowl is just an empty candle jar I painted in green and gold. I had pretty much everything she used aside from a green candle and incense (so I used a tea light and sage to cleanse).
The dish I used is a "jade dish" by Pioneer Woman bought at Walmart. It's not real jade lol. I like the idea of a bed of ground cinnamon, like it's all resting on that cinnamon catalyst! Is that a carved rose quartz bear I see in the background? It's cute!!!
@Alice_en_Rosas yeah, i thought in lieu of cinnamon sticks a bed of cinnamon would act as a good foundation. It’s actually an elephant lol it doesn’t come off well in that photo. And I’m not sure what type of crystal it is, I’ve had someone say it was white onyx but it was a gift so I really have no idea lmao he’s my little altar guardian
I found this on Etsy, it's meant as wedding favors but it just looks like a cute little cinnamon trinket. Perhaps you could say a friend gave it to you or you got one with you and your husbands initalials from someone who makes them. That way would be better so its something that represents you both. Looking up trinkets made of ingredients you need is a safe bet. I'm glad you found an online community to talk about this with, not all of us have understanding spouses, family, or partners, and listening to your stories helps those of us that do appreciate it more. Sending calming and loving vibes to your family's way!
Lovely, you do you! This particular work is all about the intentions. I occasionally burn the cinnamon sticks in a candle for a moment then swirl the smoke of it clockwise in the bowl. Some people have pouches or lidded jars they shake when they wanna inspire movement. Just this afternoon I took all the crystals and gems out and gave them a good tumble in my hands thinking of my intentions before placing them back in the bowl. If you wanna change the bowl and keep the ingredients, just keep your intentions in your mind as you do so. If you wanna redo it all, more power to you lovely! Good luck! (Feel free to show pics of that new jar set up!)
@Alice_en_Rosas Thanks for the advice! I needed to shake things up anyway, hopefully it still works well! I wanted to use this bowl because I actually made it, so I am hoping it helps solidify it more, I don't know! we will see! :)
Some updated pictures of my jar. I add things I find randomly to it, I found the silver moon and sun ring ran over in a parking lot. I had a laugh when I was cleaning out my craft supplies and found a fake ten dollar bill in some patterns my grandmother gave me. And as I've stated before, I like to burn my cinnamon sticks for a moment in a candle then stir the smoke clockwise in the jar. Occasionally I'll burn a bayleaf over it and let the ashes land in it.
The other day I got in my car and realized I forgot my phone, when I got out a feather flew straight down in front of me and stuck in the grass. Its in my car for now, but I've been debating putting it in the jar, not sure.
Here's mine. I just did it today. I couldn't find a green bowl but used this clear brandy sniffer instead. It has some coings, cinnamon, basil, bay leaves that I wrote words on like luck, abundance, prosperity. It has some stones and I use tarot in my magick so I put the page of pentacles card in here since it represents and seed for money to grow
I decided to use this treasure chest decoration box I found at (my country's version of) the dollar store, and I added some foreign money and old coins that were found inside an old cabinet that belonged to my grandpa (so technically inheritance?), and of course a coin I can still use in this day and age to get the activity going haha
Also I'm using a green candle that I didn't burn all the way cause I wanna make this a long term thing so I'm lighting it once a week to build up.
And I like to shake it now and then to not let it get stagnant
It's definitely not pretty, but I've made a sigil along with this, since doing it, my credit score has gone up around 75pts and was even able to get a loan that I needed to proceed onto the next chapter of my life. The Sigil has more work to do, since it hasn't fulfilled all of it's purpose, but this is a huge step for me.
Can you do the money bowl spell for some one else? I'm a stay at home mom so my husband is the one who goes to work and brings home the "money". I'd like to do something for him.
You can look at it two ways the way I see it. You can do the spell for yourself since you get your money from your husband and maybe you might get it from another source as well. Or you could ask his permission and do one for him. Make sure he has no doubts that can negatively affect the bowl. I'd like to see others opinions as well though.
@Alice_en_Rosas I see the bowl as money for the house/family so it already includes everyone. Maybe not if you keep separate accounts but usually when one is a stay at home parent (I'm also a stay at home mom at the moment) then at least the account for paying bills is shared.
This coffee mug just tickles me. Bought it a couple years ago and for whatever reason it got stuck in a bag in my trunk and I forgot about it until I moved into my own apartment recently. Lit a green candle to burn alongside the money bowl. The salt candle holder I got at Spencer’s isn’t part of the money bowl set up, just looks neat :) [and idk if the photo posted sideways, but its popping up sideways in the draft and idk how to fix that lol]
Here’s a picture of mine! I lit three green birthday candles around the jar after stirring contents. Inside the jar is the change from my wallet, bay leaves, cloves, a cinnamon stick, peppercorns, sea glass, and the paper with my intention on it. I’ve decided to put any change left in my wallet at the end of the week into it, and then draw out of it when I need change for the bus or something.
Heres a few pictures of mine, its acquired more items since.
I love the dish you’re using for yours!

@Kelverse white onyx elephants are made to represent inner strength and wisdom. What a good little guardian!
I am practicing in secret since my husband is a serious catholic and really doesnt understand. Inconspicuous

That bowl is beautiful!

First I love that green bowl. And I like how you set it up

That's an adorable box!

Wow that's awesome!!!
What a pretty bowl! I feel the flowers inspire growth and prosperity.
How lovely!

I love your altar space to so pretty! Is Kali one of the pictures you have standing there in the back?
No, I've yet to get a Kali card and I want one!!! I have shiva, vishnu, laxmi, durga, and shakti shiva. Thank you for looking 😊
Love everyone's pictures! 💕🍃
