So, I made this study spell around a year ago... I've cast it multiple times and it has been successful in some way every time. The last time I cast it, I was using a new glass plate which I had planned to do all my workings on (because my desk is a nice wood one and I don't want to ruin it). It's a candle spell which I let burn down while I was studying, but I've never let it burn down completely, unless if it was inside my cauldron. So, the last time I did the spell, I was busy studying when the candle burnt down, but I didn't notice and the glass plate shattered.
Do you think this could have been some kind of sign? How would you interpret this? Alternatively, do you think it was just a mundane case of a glass plate getting too hot?
Side note: what do you use to put your candles on for spells that they don't break when the candle burns down? I want to be able to let my candle burn down without being worried I'm going to get a shard of glass to the face.
