Hello friends! I've been reading tarot and oracle for myself consistently for a month (and inconsistently for two or three), but was finding myself craving a challenge. I feel like I can read off of my energies easily now with my tarot deck, and I have no deities yet to talk with (I'm deciding if I want to be religious). I'm still shaky on my oracle deck, just because I practice with it less, although that isn't to say I know all the tarot cards meanings (I read reversals too). I do feel like maybe offering free readings is a good option to keep the learning fresh.
When do you think is the right time to start reading for other people? Especially other people via the internet. Am I being too ambitious wanting to open up some free readings? When did you start reading for other people? When did it feel right to start, and how did you know it felt right?
If you're just reading for others and learning as you go. Whenever you feel like it. I'd suggest joining a local Tarot meetup if you have one in your area. If you plan on starting a business...I'd suggest doing research on tarot business, ethics, etc. Check out other readers sites to get a feel for how it works. I'd always start with other readers first or people who know you're learning.
Thanks for the reply! I've already made a list of guidelines based on what I've seen from other online readers, but becoming more of a community with local readers would be cool (if I can find any). I'm not sure if I'll ever turn this into a business. I feel like I could, but I've had the idea to start businesses before (unrelated to witchcraft), and those just fizzled out. I want to make sure this skill is solid before I try to make some money off it.
