I'm actually not one of those witches who naturally senses energy or 'vibrations' but recently I have been using what I think would be visualization using colour magick.
Here is what I mean:
If one of my plants is not doing well, I would cup it gently in my hands and imagine a glow of light green (earth and healing) as well as some light pink (loving emotions) while sending the intention of helping the plant grow and heal. This generally seems to work over a few days, sometimes accompanied with singing or verbal encouragement.
I have used this technique in other things too: To increase concentration in school (online now!) using passionflower tea and imagining a faint orange and yellow hue around to keep me focused and to my best work, or to send out love and trust to one of the stray cats that lives in my garden.
Any thoughts on this? Is it some kind of energy? Please help with any advice or tips.
Hello, @zozo! What you describe is most definitely energy work. Visualization is one of the most common ways of working with energy. The work you describe is a great way to project your energy onto other things, as you set an intention.
It doesn't really matter if you sense energy constantly as you go about life, all things have energy, and it's there whether we acknowledge it or not. If working with energies is something you are interested in, keep doing what you're doing! The more you practice, the better you'll get. You will begin to sense energies more clearly, and the energy you project along with your intentions will be more effective.
I don't know if you are doing this already as part of your practice but I would suggest before you go on to project energy onto things, you take a few minutes to ground and center yourself. Visualize energy flowing up from the earth and down from the sky onto you, feel this light charging your whole body, then flowing down your arms through your hands and onto your plants.
Once you are done, visualize this light returning to the earth and sky, leaving you just with the right amount you need to get through the rest of your day (you don't want to be too charged or drained!). Finally be thankful.
There's plenty scientific resources out there, that talk about how plants and animals are affected by words, feelings and things like that, if that is a reading you'd be interested in!
This is incredibly helpful, thank you so much! 😊
@zozo, you are so welcome! Remember to enjoy yourself and have fun!
