Hey everyone! I’m still pretty new to witchcraft and where I live currently I don’t have access to a metaphysical shop so online shopping is kind of my only option. Does anyone know of any trustworthy online shops? I was going to buy from Amazon but I’ve heard bad things. Any opinions? tia

If you are looking for subscription boxes, here are two crystal subscription boxes that were recommended to m:

Since I was only looking for selenite, I haven’t gotten a subscription. I ended up ordering the selenite from Amazon.
Try Etsy :) Lots of selection and prices are pretty fair.
The only thing to be conerned with is whether the seller is ethically sourcing. I would ask them where they source their crystals and If they dont answer or cant answer, then try a different seller.
Most Etsy sellers probably wouldn't mind you asking. Always do your due diligence.
I have found some crystals that are real at my local antique store. Its a reliable place. Though I know how trendy crystals have gotten. To the point where i dont trust most crystals im buying these days even when people are telling me its real. I know how its not. Sigh.
But ive put more power into a simple rock i can find in my yard than a crystal i buy these days.
I just make my own resin crystal necklaces now and meditate upon them. It feels more organic and pure and its not toxic. But i would say check out local antique stores. Im sure theres gotta be some around your hometown
I've ordered from Zuzu Natural's shop, https://innerouterbalance.com/. I don't know about ethical sourcing but they're real and good quality. I've also had good experience with Love Thyself Rocks https://www.etsy.com/shop/LovingThyselfRocks They ship fast, have great obviously real stuff and everything comes with a card identifying it.
Those are just the ones that especially worked for me so far, I just got into crystals so I haven't bought a ton or tried a ton of online shops yet, and I do buy from a local metaphysical shop. I tried some Amazon sellers - honestly it seems fine, you can return almost anything for any reason if you suspect they're fake, just learn how to identify fakes and what crystals aren't actually "crystals." Mostly if it's too cheap, there's a good chance it's fake, but reasonably priced stuff with a good variety of unusual crystals and lots of positive reviews from people who know what's real is a good sign.
@lexi_h15 I don't have a solid answer for you (although there seem to be some pretty good ones already!), but I will warn you about some of the more brilliantly-colored crystals for sale out there. Nature can produce some amazingly colorful crystals, but if a crystal seems to have perfect coloration that's very regular throughout its structure (especially if it's labelled as Quartz), there's a good chance you're looking at something that was artificially colored using a combination of chemistry, heat, and pressure. (The worst offenders are often the "pick your own crystals" bins in souvenir shops.) Be sure to get as good a look at what you're buying as you can before you actually buy it. As with everything else in life, if it seems to good to be true, it probably isn't. Happy hunting!
