I have been seeing blue Jays everywhere lately. The first time was a few weeks ago. I saw 3 of them on my drive home. And since then it's been one showing up here and there. I'm wondering if they signify anything because I honestly can't remember the last time I have seen one in years lol. And now they're everywhere I go.
Update: Did you know they laugh? They sound like lil bird hyeenas lol. As soon as I walked outside one was sitting outthere and laughed at me n I asked what he was doing n he left. Rude. Lol
They symbolise protection, communication and creativity. They are also associated with the god of wishes and love, Od or the Cherokee Trickster God. Maybe a blue jay is your spirit animal or some deity is trying to contact you. Try to meditate about the meaning of you seeing them. Good luck and blessed be. Just as an exercise in curiosity, are you seeing crows or ravens a lot lately? Jays are kissin' cousins to crows, ravens, jackdaws, and their ilk -- it would be interesting to see which of this group of educational tricksters is paying attention to you!
I haven't seen either recently that I can remember. I did hear a big bird screaching (or whatever it is they do lol) in the yard the other day. But I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it was lol. Sneak screaming at me
@PieceOfHarmony Y'know what's funny? I used to have lots of Bluejays (among other critters) in my backyard and for several months they were MIA. I just realized that I have seen a particularly big & brightly-colored Bluejay flitting around in the Black Locusts & Tulip Trees behind my house every. single. day. since reading your post...! Hmmm.... ;-) I also discovered that the odd-sounding birds I heard in my yard a couple of days ago but couldn't see were actually squirrels yelling at each other.
I had a squirrel sit in a tree and yell at my dog a while ago lol. I didn't know they yell I thought something was wrong with it.. my dog wanted to uh.. put it out of it's misery.. I had to stand under the tree and yell back at it till it left lol
I agres a bluejay could be a stand in for a crow or a raven, a corvid isa corvid to me.
