My friend has been dealing with alot of dysphoria lately (he is transgender), and I want to help him out a bit. He is a baby witch as well so he would be fine with this.
I was wondering if anyone has any spells or charms for self confidence and dysphoria?
I maybe want to make him a spell jar, does anyone know what herbs and Crystals would be good for this?
Thank you for your consideration
~Ethan
Hi Ethan, I don’t have much experience as a witch but I do know that Citrine is a good crystal for self confidence boosting. As for herbs I think that ashwagandha is a good one to protect ones body against chronic stress.
Rose quartz is a staple for self love! I would also recommend looking into different kinds of grounding stones. Smoky quartz would be a really good option! It’s great for eliminating negative thoughts/feelings (especially anxiety) and is also supposed to help you settle into and feel more at home in your body (and your broader place on Earth). Both are pretty easy to find and super affordable.
If your friend wears jewelry, you could buy or make him a necklace or ring, etc. with one of the crystals already mentioned. Or, you could make him a charm bag (filled with crystals and herbs related to self love/confidence and grounding), to carry around for self assurance throughout the day.
I love the sudjestions given so far! I also suffer from body dismorphia, but for an eating dissorder. I don't claim to know what you friend is going through, but I can definitely relate, and I wish your friend all the luck in the world with this. ❤️ For me, something that really helps is any sort of grounding meditation or spells. I also love small grounding meditations that you can do anywhere at anytime to help with the dysphoria. One of my favorite ways to do this is by makeing sure my feet are on the ground and my palms are facing outward and upward. Then imagine with ever breath roots growing out of your feet and into the earth and white light energy flowing in through the top of your head Focus on your heart beat and repeat, I am grounded, I am safe, I am present, until you feel like you are back in your body again. I also avoid mirrors as much as possible on the really bad days, they tend to reflect your dyphoric energy back onto you and make things worse. Hope this helps! Good luck, and blessed be ❤️
Meditation and self love herbs, candles, baths, all of it. <3
My partner is experiencing the same problem, we aren't really in a place where he can "come out" as Trans, so everyone still assumes he's female. He's feeling bad about himself and I just want to do something for him. I'm thinking a charm bag is the way to go, maybe with a sigil thrown in and something to represent masculinity.
