Hello witches!
I know this is a weird ask, but due to my own history of trauma I’ve always struggled with being able to cry.
I feel like I’m missing a part of myself. Like it makes me less feminine, less able to express myself, like I have no way to vent when I’m so overwhelmed with emotion and I feel like I’m going to burst.
This is something I really want. I’ve even romanticized the idea of being a crybaby like Usagi from sailor moon.
Does anyone have advice for constructing a spell to help myself cry often and easily? I’m not sure whether to approach it from a banishing/cleansing angle, or attracting in something new.
Im most comfortable with candle magick btw, but I’m open to all suggestions, and greatly appreciate them.

THIS IS MY OPINION/ADVICE.
Hi Bunnie Aurora! I know you said you have a history with trauma (I'm not a doctor of any kind). In my opinion its better to work on healing first. Because you could make things worse for yourself if you do something to force yourself to cry ... I personally wouldn't go down the road of casting your way through your trauma with out working through it in the physical first (also I am assuming here that you haven't talked to a doctor. Sorry if i'm wrong.). You could get a result that you didn't want. Also everyone is different everyone processes things in many ways. Sometimes its the brain's way of protecting us. So to be clear I think your best and SAFEST bet wold to talk to a doctor who can help you heal and reach your end goal(a lot of people would view this as part of SHADOW WORK) First before you go and try to cast your way through your trauma. Sorry if this isn't what you were really looking for but this is my advice.

Hi miss frog. I’ve been working with a therapist, and have been doing shadow work to unpack my trauma for a long time, but it hadnt impacted my ability to cry.
In particular, my mom would fly off the handle a lot when I was a kid and yell at me for my ‘crocodile tears’, so I eventually stopped being able to cry st all. I got trained out of it as a defense mechanism to avoid angering her further. That’s why I feel like I need some sort of external help. Setting boundaries and moving on from that childhood situation didn’t resolve the way I process/express things.
Hey Bunnie Aurora. I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how hard and also frustrating that must be. But I'm so happy that you have/are seeing a therapist. Along with shadow work. Do you mind if i ask what gods and or goddess you work with if any?
Because Tawret might be a goddess you might want to work with to help you reach your goal. She is a full circle of life goddess . And that's the angle I would go at it from. Another good one would be Hecate or another triple goddess (Tawret is also). O or The Fates would be a good one also. A god that would be good is Hermes hes the god of communication.
Doing a petition (you can put it on a candle) and i would ask for help in cutting ties or strings with the unhealthy coping and ask for aid in healthy forms of expression.
you could do knot magic. example you could make knots in a string thinking of times that you wanted to cry or express yourself but couldn't. put a knot for each one . Then go back to the first knot and say why that isn't going to work for you anymore and then untie the knot and so on untill all knots are untied then in the same string for every knot you untied retie a knot but think of ways you would like to express yourself in situations like the knots before.Then keep it on alter, under pillow, in your bag, use it as a bracelet....
