Hello! I am new to discovering my spiritual witchy self. This has been a lifetime occurrence - when I sleep I have realistic and specific dreams/nightmares. I used to wake up upset all the time as a child. I have become accustomed to it and rarely wake up distressed. They say the average person dreams about 6-10 a night, mine are definitely in the higher range. They will cross correlate with dreams/nightmares from other nights (within days, weeks, months, within years). I can wake up ten plus times and fall back asleep, still working out the same dream/nightmare from where I left off. I have started interpreting my dreams/nightmares with a book I found, and it has been freakishly accurate thus far. Most of it is general concepts. I went back and translated the dreams this last week before I found out my grandfather was dying, and did die - shockingly one of the symbolic interpretations for loss of loved ones was in my dream prior to. This is not the first this has occurred, from degjavue moments, preparing myself for conflict, and life events. I did not keep a record in the past, but I am really trying to find out what goes on when I sleep. I am a realist but I am trying to open myself up to things beyond human understanding. If anyone has any helpful information, resources, and/or experience I would appreciate the help.

If you want to ward off nightmares- smudging sage and protective herbs. Leaving tourmaline at the head of your bed and a stem of rosemary at the end.
If you want to embrace the divination aspect, try jasmine insense, and a thread on here somewhere has mentioned mugwort tea before bed (in moderation) as another way to boost divination abilities.
Thank you for the advice :)
What book do you use to interpret your dreams? I have crazy dreams that have a lot of symbolism. I just want to know what its saying. Peace and luck be with you.
