Hi everyone! I'm new here and fairly new to actively researching astral projection. For years I have experienced sleep paralysis in the mornings (usually when the sun wakes me up during a dream). The first time it happened I was probably 13. I was freaked out and in a lucid-dream state kept attempting to make it downstairs to get help. I could make it a little farther each time, but continually I would lose focus and end up back in bed in the same position where I had began. Now, after this happening once a week or so for 7+ years, I generally get up easily and walk around my apartment. Everything feels exceptionally real and is in perfect detail (exactly like real life unlike some of my normal dreams), and weirdly my favorite thing is to climb up on something and jump. If I close my eyes mid-fall, I end up being slowly enveloped back into my bed instead of hitting the ground. I've only gone outside once (when I lived in an apartment with a balcony to jump off of) and it was really strange, like the "upside down" in stranger things but less scary and no monsters. Have I been accidentally astral projecting for years or is this just a recurring lucid-dream? Thanks and happy to be a part of the community!
