Hey all! I've been dabbling in various types of divination over the course of the past few months, and lenormand cards have quickly become my go-to tool. I love tarot and oracle too, but something about lenormand really speaks to me. What are your preferred divination methods?

I love love love my pendulum! Also enjoy my Oracle cards. At the moment those are my 2 favorite
Interesting question! I'm definitely most drawn to tarot, I've been using the rider waite deck and have recently started dabbling into some rider-waite-based decks with their own imagery.
I usually use tarot cards, I’ve tried other methods but haven’t had much success (pendulums in particular are a struggle for me). I like that with cards there’s enough information written into the cards symbolism so I can build my interpretations off what the cards I’ve drawn mean. I’d like to try tasseography one day since I’m such an avid tea drinker and have been switching to loose-leaf tea to be more eco friendly (might as well get another use out of the leaves before they head to compost!)
I prefer my tarot decks (I have 4 of them now) but I'm starting to branch out into other forms in terms of research. I have one oracle deck but we don't really seem to get along at the moment, I don't think I'm that well versed in the meanings of each card so I just need to play around with it a bit more I guess?
I have recently dipped my toe in fire divination (I think it's called?)/ scrying. Which, from what I've gathered, is clearing your mind and staring into a flame and writing down anything that comes to mind. That's touch and go at the moment but I've got plenty of time to play around with it.
The magic I learned uses books in a similar way to tarot...so if I dont have a tarot near me and I want an answer to something I find a book (I prefer a dictionary or even a bible) i have used a dream interpretation book as well, I state my intent and open to a page and read the paragraph or page that calls out to me.
Really?! I thought that was just me! Awesome!!
I use my pendulum , but I have been learning about tarot for a while and me being traditional I’m waiting until my boyfriend Jeremy sends me a tarot deck to start reading without borrowing someone else’s cards . I really like to work with my ancestors and meditate, open my third eye, and do divination like that.
I've found a lot of success and enjoyment out of using the runes of the elder futhark
I'm most-comfortable with tarot (currently have two decks), but I've done a little bit of scrying using a bowl and water. I was friends with a guy in the Marines whose go-to divination tool was cigar-smoke; he typically smoked Newport cigarettes, but for a reading, out came the cigar-cutter and a Robusto.
I enjoy working with my pendulum! Recently I've been practicing wax divination and that's fun. For awhile I worked with playing cards.
I love my pendulum but my tarot also comes in a close second
My very first favorite was my pendulum actually!! It was a really goo introduction to divination for me as I personally find them super easy to use! I feel that the ones that I own respond really well to me depending what I use them for! Since I am fortunate and have more than one, I like to limit what kinds of questions I ask which pendulum.
A few months ago though I purchased my first tarot deck, the Tattoo Tarot deck, and I fell in love so fast!! I use them both together fairly often, and I love having the combination. I'll admit that I spend way more time researching tarot stuff that pendulum stuff, I feel more intuitive with the pendulum and I feel the need to look up less things, but tarot doesn't quite come as naturally to me. I'm learning though!!
Capnomancy (smoke reading) and pyromancy (flame reading) are my favorites! I'm also hoping to try tasseomancy (tea leaf reading) soon.
If I need to do a reading in a pinch, I'll typically just grab a pendulum and get to work since you can make one out of basically anything. However, for more serious work, I typically cast runes or use one of my Tarot decks. I've found that if I need to cast some runes and have none lying around, I'll just write a Futhark down on a piece of paper; cut each rune out; and just cast those. Traditionally lots were cast with runes scribed on thin sheets of tree bark anyways, so all I'm really doing is substituting bark for paper.
For me it is my Oracle Card deck! I absolutely love it and our two daughters are showing interest in them as well. Thinking in the New Year (2020) that I will take them to choose their first deck. I also have a set of Elder Futhark Runes that I have started to work with a bit more.
