I recently read somewhere that it's possible to use incense ashes in spell work, however, I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere else. Is this true? And if so how can I use it?
hello! i’ve read about this too. i’ve heard you can use the incense ashes to make black salt if you like! mix it with regular salt (i prefer pink himalayan but any salt will do) 🌸
black salt is typically just charcoal mixed with salt! so if you wanted to add charcoal that’d be an awesome bonus.
however there are people who feel using incense ashes is not good, as its served it’s purpse and the ashes shouldnt be used. it’s really all up to you and what feels right!!
If your practice includes energy work, I'd just recommend being aware of what type of spellwork (if any) the incense was used for to avoid the idea of residual energies from the original spell that involved the incense being at odds with any new spell that somehow involves the ash...
I've been wondering this, too! :0
