hi! recently i have started to become drawn toward witchcraft, more specifically green witchcraft. although as i have done my research and tried getting started i realized that there is so much to this practice and have no idea where to start. everytime i try to start my practice i start feeling very overwhelmed and stop. my question is whats the best way to start without getting overwhelmed? any specific books you recommend? objects? any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I am very new as well. I began my practice at the beginning of March this year there is so much to learn and so much to study that I also became overwhelmed. I tried to learn too much. After sitting down and thinking about it, I picked one subject that really called to me. So I studied candle magic. The video Olivia and her coven meet married was very informative and got the ball rolling for me. I would suggest relaxing and think upon it and see what calls to you. I am still learning all I can about candles but house branched out and purchase my first pendulum! Currently I have no interest in Tarot or scrying but who knows. I also am starting to look into crystals. Good luck on your journey, slow down, Start with one subject and work your way towards others. You will sign that they're all connected in some way.

thank you so much!
I felt the same way, I was overwhelmed but also extremely excited & wanted to jump in head first. I suggest the same thing ArcherWitch said, take some time to reflect & find a small piece of the witchcraft pie & focus on that. I have found working on my Grimoire, cleansing objects for upcoming spells, and research is extremely fulfilling. Just general preparation for when I do start acting on my plans has fallen into place just perfectly for me. I'm currently researching crystals/stones, sigils, spell work, & working with the moon.
I'm still extremely new myself but if you want some direction on anything I'm researching I'd be happy to share what I have learned thus far!
Good luck :)
thank you! i guess it is quite normal to feel overwhelmed when getting started haha. ill be sure to reach out if i feel i need it. good luck to you as well <3
Ditto. Ditto. Ditto. the only thing i would add is that... you may have done this before... in a life before. sometimes we simply need to remember. look for what is familiar to you. allow the path within to unfold without. as above so below. as within so without. and congrats! these are big steps.
